Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills to join a dynamic team in Brooklyn. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems. Ideal candidates are local to Brooklyn to minimize commute and enable quick response times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and component replacements.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Handle service calls, including potential emergency/after-hours work.
- Install new units and perform system upgrades as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local codes.
- Document services and provide recommendations to clients.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC service/repair or as an Electrical Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems and electrical diagnostics.
- EPA certification (Universal preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Union background or commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
